Instead of trying to get healthy, why not shift focus toward learning how to build healthy habits instead. Follow me as I try to teach myself how to Engineer healthy habits that will allow me to take my health to the next level. Let's see where this experiment goes!

Day #117 - Two in a Row...The Big Test

For two consecutive nights I've managed to sleep most of the night.  Last night I only woke twice with knee pain; the second time was 4:30AM so I just got up and went to work.  I'm still probably only getting 4-5 hours and it's not the best quality sleep, but it's better than some of the other nights.

Tonight is the big test; yesterday was my last day on the pain medication.  Tonight I will find out if my knee is actually getting better or if it was just being masked by pain medication.

I haven't said much about my eating because I have nothing good to say.  In fact, if I hadn't committed to posting everyday, then by now I would have gone 2 weeks without a post.

I will write more tomorrow when I have some time, wish me luck tonight.

Stay Strong!

  1. FD you might be at a cross road. You might have to decide soon if you will re-commit yourself or if you will surrender.

If I was in your shoes, I would be thinking really hard how much I need to lose my weight. I would change my goal to one that will not be out of reach and demotivate me.

I would completely forget about the first 4 months and concentrate on the next 8. I would keep a goal of a pound a week, there is 35 weeks left in 2015. It's not 100 lbs but it's a good byte out of it. You are young, so next year, if you will have 65 more pounds to go. It will be much easier to concentrate 2016 on that rather than this year with stopping smoking and drinking.

It is just my opinion FD, what ever you do, I'll be watching :)

This is life changing time my friend, not a short drop and re-gain, right?
