Weigh-in #15 - 2/20/10

I realized that when I nominated people for the creative writing award, I linked them to my main page instead of the award page.  If you are here to collect your award, please go here for the instructions.

Starting Weight: 297 lbs
Previous Weigh-in: 283.8 lbs
Current Weight: 280.9 lbs
Weekly Loss (Gain): 2.9 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 16.1 lbs

A Solid loss this week!  I was a little nervous... I ate well all week and I got my exercise and water intake right, but my youngest daughter is having problems with one of her knees and she had to get blood work yesterday.  She couldn't go to gymnastics so to make her feel better I took her to McDonalds for a Happy Meal and a sundae.  I only ate 1 sandwich and fries (and the rest of my daughters sundae that she couldn't finish), but I was worried all the salt would cause me to retain water.  I guess not.

My friend is back in town today, so I'm going to see if he's still up for the 30 day challenge.  If so I'll put it out here early in the week.  I'm pretty excited; it's going to be a tough challenge!

Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred

  1. Congrats on another nice loss FogDog!

  2. Hey wait a minute ... what is "1 sandwich" code for, a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Big Mac, or what?!? Just teasing, congrats on the loss.

  3. Actually it was the angus burger, but I scraped the mayo off because they always load it up and it gives me heartburn.

  4. I've tried various low-carb, low-calorie, and low-fat diets for the past couple of years. Although the Atkins diet is very popular, it made me feel somewhat unhealthy.
The diet plan I'm on right now is the Medifast Diet. The caloric intake is roughly 800-1000 calories. However, it doesn't make my body feel weak. It is a bit of a pricey diet, but there are plenty of coupons available on the internet (i.e. http://www.swoopup.com/stores/deals/Medifast-Diet). You should never pay full price.
My advice is just choose a diet plan which your body reacts positively to. No one knows your body better than you do!

  5. So far you have been doing a great job. I know that the weight loss thus far must feel good physically as well as psychologically. Don't worry, you will get there soon and it looks like you have the proper motivation to do so. Keep up the great work with your articles and please stop by my health blog sometime.
